Arrive in Rome where your Tour Manager will greet you at the airport. Explore the city on a Tour Manager led walking tour taking in key sights such as Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi and the Spanish Steps. Sit down all together in the evening for dinner…. Guided sightseeing with our local expert guide to explore the “piazzas and fountains” of Rome. On your tour you will of course see the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and much more!

Time to head out of the big city with a transfer to Naples. On the way, you’ll make a stop at the ancient Roman town that was buried in ashes in 79 AD, Pompeii, as you learn about the facts on a guided sightseeing tour. Once in Naples, take an early evening “culinary walk”, with your Tour Manager through the iconic town. After trying some regional specialties, you’ll be sure not to miss the obligatory “Pizza Napoletana” of course!

Get out on the water with a day trip to Capri Island where you’ll have time to visit the island community of Capri Town. Soak up the sun with some dedicated beach time before circumnavigating the island via a boat trip. Head back to Naples in the afternoon. Free evening to explore.

Depart Naples and make a visit to Paestum, which was a major ancient Greek city, dating as far back as 550 BC. Continue to Matera set on a rocky outcrop in the region of Basilicata, known for the prehistoric cave system, Sassi di Matera, well worth a visit!

After a free time morning in Matera, we travel Eastbound through the landscapes of Puglia and say goodbye to Italy as you board your overnight ferry to Patras, Greece. You’ll enjoy dinner aboard your ferry, cruising overnight.

Welcome to Greece! From the port town of Patras, you’ll travel east to Athens, making a stop along the way for a guided sightseeing tour of Delphi. Arriving in Athens by the evening, marvel at the history of this age-old city on an evening stroll through some of Athens most happening neighborhoods on route to dinner.

Get the most out of your time in Athens with a guided sightseeing tour of the city as well as entrance to the Acropolis; climb to the top of the hill and enjoy the view looking out past one of the 2,400 year old columns. Catch your breath with some free time in the afternoon and evening.

Let’s go island hopping! Board your cruise and sail off to Mykonos Island where you will arrive in the early evening. Make the most of your 5 hours to explore the dreamy iconic Greek island which is known as the “island of the winds” with its distinctive windmills. Join your Tour Manager on a walk or just stroll through the atmospheric Old Town with its immaculate whitewashed houses, winding alleys, lovely little churches and delightful restaurants. Evening departure to Turkey.

Today you’ll explore Kusadasi and Patmos.. Enjoy an included bus tour in Kusadasi which will take you on a journey to discover the ancient Ephesus, built 3,000 years ago. Discover the Bazar of Kusadasi before you cruise over to the hourglass-shaped island of Patmos, known among locals as the “Holy Island” named after St John the Apostle. Spend the afternoon and evening here and take up an optional excursion if you wish.

If Kusadasi gave us just a glimpse of the Ancient World, then this destination leaves it to our imagination. The Colossus of Rhodes once bestrode the harbor but he is long gone. So you can take in the lovely Old Town, a maze of atmospheric cobbled streets that will transport you back to the Byzantine Empire and beyond. Join an included half day medieval tour – the Acropolis of Lindos and the Citadel of the Knights. Follow in the footsteps of heroes as you walk along the Knight's Street in the heart of historical Rhodes. Depart in the early evening as you sail towards Heraklion, Crete.

Sailing into Heraklion in the morning, marvel at the Koules Fortress that guards the ancient capital of Crete. Enjoy some free time in Heraklion or join on an optional excursion to Knossos, the center of Minoan civilization which has been called Europe's oldest city. Then be back onboard around lunch time for your next island hop to Santorini. Here you’ll be greeted by striking cliffs which are vertically dotted with traditional white Greek houses and blue domed churches. For those that are keen, take up the optional excursion to Oia for an epic sunset.

Disembark your cruise in the early morning. Visit Poseidon Temple on Sounion Cape before continuing towards Athens. In the evening, gather together for a delicious Farewell Dinner in the Old Town and reminisce over everything you’ve seen and done… where has been your favorite?

For those who are adding the extension to Paris:

Extension to Paris – Fly from Athens to Paris. Arrive in Paris and start your Parisian experience with a guided sightseeing on bus. Check in at hotel, free afternoon before dinner.

Start your day with a visit and ascend the iconic Eiffel Tower. Join your Tour Manager to Montmartre and visit Sacre Coeur and the artist square. Spend your late afternoon and evening at leisure in your own pace.  No dinner included on this day.

Today you have a full day at your disposal to fill up with your own favorite activities. You may chose to visit one of the many great museums or just go for a discovery walk through Paris. We meet up at night for a scenic Seine River cruise farewell dinner, ending your days in Paris in style!

Today we say goodbye to Europe and transfer to airport for your USA bound return flight.
