Start this incredible journey in Rome, exploring the ancient city for all it’s worth. Head out of the capitol city and onwards north to the jewel of Tuscany, Florence! Be dazzled by the sights, sounds and tastes of Tuscany. When travelling to and from Flroence you will make visits to some of the best places in the region; San Gimignano, Siena and Civita di Bagnoregio. Full of history, culture, art and picturesque scenery, this tour has a line up of all the big names; the Colosseum, the Vatican, Piazza del Campo and the Duomo of Florence!

Today we explore the ancient underground with the fascinating Catacombs of Rome. From there we continue to St Paul’s outside the walls together with our local guide. After lunch onwards to the holy sea and microstate of the Vatican on a guided sightseeing and entrance to The Vatican Museum and St Peter’s Basilica. See more of the big name sights that you haven’t already. Dinner near the Navona area at night.

Start the day exploring the ancient city of Rome with a guided sightseeing tour of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. After refueling with lunch, enjoy some free time to explore, why not make a visit to the Capitoline Museum (not included), conveniently located near the Roman Forum. Regroup in the evening for dinner and compare notes on everything you’ve seen so far.

Tuscany
Travel to Florence via a stop in San Gimignano, southwest of Florence. This picturesque hill town is encircled by 13th-century walls and of course is known jokingly as the “Medieval Manhattan” as it has a skyline of medieval towers, including the stone Torre Grossa. Before arriving in Florence, we make a stop at the American cemetery. Once in Florence a shorter introduction Tour Manager walk ahead of dinner at night.

Travel to Siena, the home of the Palio with its magnificent Duomo. See Piazza del campo where you will have free time for lunch. We had a wonderful time touring Ireland. Lionel put together a great itinerary-a lot in a short period of time but grateful for being able to see so much of the country. All food and accommodations were top notch and hopefully we can partake in another trip down the road!
